Decontamination
C.G. Laboratories offers decontamination of medical devices, or other products
that have been contaminated and potentially exposed to pathogens. These devices
can be rendered safe by the use of ethylene oxide, steam, gamma radiation, or
liquid decontamination. After decontamination at C.G. Laboratories the device
can be handled and inspected without any pathogen exposure to the inspection
personnel.

The situation
A device has
malfunctioned in the field thus causing a customer complaint. An analyst needs
to investigate the possible failure of this instrument. The device is
contaminated and has the possibility of pathogens on it. This instrument needs
to be decontaminated before the analyst tests it.
